• Over 20 years of experience in elder law, estate planning, probate,
and guardianship/conservatorship.
• Over 20 years of experience as City Prosecutor for several Northern
Minnesota communities; currently serving the communities of Virginia,
Eveleth, Aurora, Hoyt Lakes, Cook, Babbitt and Buhl
• Substantial experience in municipal law including current service as
City Attorney for Aurora and town of White, Minnesota
Mr. Kearney provides guidance in matters related to elder law, estate
planning, and real estate transactions. “Clients come to see me under
two conditions,” said Kearney. “Either because they’re in a crisis and
they want me to help them navigate the legal system, or because they
want to prevent future problems by planning for life changes.”
Mr. Kearney began his career as a public school teacher in Park
Rapids, Minnesota, where he taught for three years prior to going on to
law school.

Mr. Kearney is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and
Iron Range Bar Association, and serves on the Board of Directors for the
Iron Range Rehabilitation Center.
