John Colosimo is one of the most accomplished and highly qualified
civil litigators in Northeast Minnesota. With over 35 years of
experience and extensive continuing professional education in the areas
of civil arbitration and litigation, insurance law, and school law, Mr.
Colosimo helps clients navigate the legal process to accomplish positive
outcomes before the courts, administrative agencies and arbitrators.

demonstrating an enhanced level of skill and expertise in trial advocacy
as determined by the National Board of Trial Advocacy; and a No-Fault
Arbitrator certified by the American Arbitration Association.
Mr. Colosimo is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has been
recognized by Minnesota Lawyer as a “Super Lawyer” — a designation
reserved for just 5% of lawyers in the state — in the areas of insurance
defense, personal injury and employment litigation, and public school
law. He has been a member of the Minnesota School Boards Association
Council of School Attorneys and the National School Boards Association
Council of School Attorneys since the 1970s.
Mr. Colosimo began his career as a high school teacher and coach
prior to going on to law school, and currently represents over 13 public
school districts across Northern Minnesota.
