School & Municipal Law
The school law team for Colosimo, Patchin, Kearney & Brunfelt currently represents 13 school districts throughout northern Minnesota. The firm has in excess of 30 years of experience in all aspects of representing school districts including, but not limited to, liability issues, employment and personnel matters, student discipline, technology issues, building and construction contracts, and special education. Our school law team takes a proactive approach to issues and matters confronting school districts with the goal being, by practicing preventative law, to avoid litigation and other due process procedures….But not being reluctant to utilize litigation and due process procedures when necessary or from a preemptive standpoint.
Our school law team not only possesses skill and experience on
substantive issues involving school law but also possesses trial
experience and expertise that, when combined, provide formidable and
effective representation for school districts.
Our school and education law team has successfully prevailed in due
process proceedings involving special education issues and, from a
preemptive standpoint, believe that school districts need to utilize the
due process procedure more proactively…rather than reactively.
From a municipal law standpoint, Colosimo, Patchin, Kearney & Brunfelt
represent a number of cities, townships and municipalities throughout
northern Minnesota using the same substantive knowledge, experience and
success as in all of our practice areas. We have lawyers very
experienced in specifically municipal and township law. Our experience
in these areas is in excess of 30 years.
We pride ourselves in being attentive to the needs of our clients –
whether they be school districts, cities or townships. We are there when
you need us, whether by email, telephone or face-to-face. We will
respond to your needs promptly, efficiently and professionally.
